This week we were asked to research solutions to the problems our specific animals face. My problem of choice was animal cruelty and abuse, especially in the U.S. I will say it was really hard to find really strong and solid solutions, as this problem has sadly become inevitable and hard to maintain. The solution I did find though includes animal advocacy, and more educational platforms to gain more knowledge on these issues. I found these sources with just a simple Google search and a little bit of time to scroll. It was fairly easy to navigate pages, as there are so many organizations that advocate for these pressing needs.

One organization I found really useful, is Four Paws. I love how informational their website was and how easy it is to navigate solutions to this problem. The link I posted was a resource to help navigate through efficient ways to prevent animal abuse. It also gives ways to get involved beyond just their simple website. It lastly provides guides and detailed slides on things like efficiently caring for animals, how to tend to their needs, and what to expect if you're a new pet owner. I really appreciate how detailed and resourceful this website is, and I think it can be super-efficient when trying to combat animal cruelty all over the world.
My classmates also researched these issues and I found out a lot of information about their animals of choice. One interesting tweet I found was by @Dereklzs888. He made a great point about the lack of education and knowledge pertaining to wolves and their attacks. I think it is important to note that alot of issues can arise from the lack of knowledge and the inability to comprehend certain situations well. I appreciated how he brought up this point.
Overall this week was super informational and helped me navigate more of my advocacy project. I will say I did fall a little behind this week just because I did fall into some tough situations, but I am catching up and the class is starting to flow again.
